My Macros+ | Diet & Calories App Reviews

Good app. Needs feedback, output options.

The app takes a little while to get used to, but then the interface starts making sense. Finding some foods is odd, "acorn squash" cant be found? Hard to believe. But there are hundreds of entries for "squash". Like many foods, the values are all over the place. There needs to be some curating of the foods library to consolidate and remove duplicates and junk. Finding foods can be tricky. Do you look for "Chocolate Milk", "Milk, Chocolate" etc. Woe is me if Im searching for a food that is more than one word. The barcode scanner is very effective. Between that and "Recents", it eventually becomes very quick to update meals. When you enter a food, it looks like the app uses the last meal used- so you may get "Dinner" first thing in the morning. It should default based on time of day- but this is a minor quibble. My biggest recommendation is that the app is just a black hole. You feed tons of data in. What do I get back? I would like to see graphs over time. Export to an Excel file at least. Other types of feedback that combine app/software intelligence, nutritional knowledge, and my data.

Pretty Good

Easy to use app for counting macros. The format is pretty simple, but watch the nutritional information and servings. I found I had to change the info on quite a few products. I would like to see a comment section on each food, just to get more detailed. I send my food journal to my trainer so she can see what I am eating and how much it affects my macros for the day. This is a good tool for online food menus/training :)

Love it!

Love this app! Wish it had more items loaded (I noticed myfitnesspal had a bigger database) but besides that, I cant complain.

Not one to register for an account

Not one to register for an account, so very upset that the register button is right in the middle of the screen. If you accidentally press it, then you have to close the app to reset the requirement to register. Other apps offer a skip function; not this one.

Only half good.

Mm+ is a great app for tracking your macros IF you input all the data yourself. It has promising features such as a barcode scanner and a searchable food database, however they are both inadequate. The barcode scanner works, but I find myself having to edit the nutritional information because it never matches up with the actual food label. The database is a complete let down. Any user can input information so there are HUNDREDS of unreliable and inaccurate nutritional information. There is an option to select "verified only" but mm+s food database is sorely lacking. They dont even have common foods such as carrots.. In summary, mymacros+ is a great app, but not yet complete. It takes a lot of work on the users end to track their macros properly. There are features that, in theory, would make the app an extremely useful and convenient tool, but instead I find myself slaving away on my phone for 10 minutes to track one snack. :/ The developers really need quality checks on the info that makes it into their database and someone to input a plethora of verified foods. If users want to create their own info thats fine, but it should not be in the searchable database. Too much room for error. PLEASE MAKE THESE FIXES - this app has such potential to be perfect!!

Dope

Very helpful

Great app

Great for tracking macros. Recipe nutritional calculator, bar code scanner and ability to save frequent personal foods and recipes are big pluses. Ive found MM+ to be as customizable as I would like it to be.

Its the right start.

Its the right start but its not better then MFP. I also cant unfollow Jason and thats very annoying.

Easy, peasy!

Once you figure it out, its great! Its not that tough to figure out.

Love it!

Not the most user friendly at first and doesnt recognize as much food as MyFitnessPal but the break down of Macros is awesome. Would definitely recommend!!

Was loving this app until...

the barcode scanner started acting up. Now every time I try to scan an item it freezes and have to close the app. Tried resetting the phone with no luck. Please fix! Im on iOS 9.3.1.

Perfect for macro tracking!

Lots of good food tracking app, but if youre a flexible dieter or macro tracker, this is a god send. Very happy with it.

Great macro tracker

Absolutely love this app! Only thing is I wish It would sync with my Fitbit to track my work outs!

Great app

It took me a little while to get used to using it but its great for tracking macros.

Not impressed

The food database is very limited and navigating is somewhat archaic. The app needs improvement.

Wonderful app

Love this app! It would be great if you could wrote notes attached to your meals and if you could pre-set future macros because I do carb-cycling and it would make it that much easier than having to go switch the goals every day. Thanks!

Niceee

Keeps me on track. Like anything- improvements could be made- like more foods being able to be tracked in grams- but all together great app

Love it!!!

Love this app and recommend it all if the time. It only gets better and better. Customer service is great and response is quick if I have an issue. I find it easy to use and customize.

Highly recommended

This app is by far the easiest macro tracking app. Worth every penny. Easily allows you to scan, search, or customize your foods. Also allows to put in exact amounts. Easy to copy meals from day to day as well. If youre overlooking this app youre crazy.

Works well.

The search function could use a little work, when I search for spaghetti and meatballs it gives me spaghetti and I have to scroll through 100 spaghettis before I find one that is a complete dish. you should be able to filter by closest phrase match first.
